DARENTH VALLEY FORGE is a traditional and contemporary metal works studio based in the village of Eynsford, deep in the Kent countryside.
The forge was originally founded in 1982 by Godfrey South F.W.C.B (a Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths) and today, after many years of successful smithing, the forge is run by Rhys Harlin F.W.C.B.
Rhys is an award winning blacksmith who prides himself on producing the highest quality ironwork, he works to commission for a wide range of clients, from architects to private individuals, he is able to design, manufacture and install the highest standard of Ironwork for your specific needs.
All types of artistic and creative metalwork is considered, carefully designed and forged using both traditional and contemporary blacksmiths techniques ,with projects ranging from Gates, Railings and Balustrades
Whether it is a piece of traditional ironwork to suit a period property, or a contemporary design to enhance your garden, the concept stage is where it starts. All of our work is designed and manufactured in-house to ensure quality and individuality.
Rhys Harlin is an award winning Blacksmith. He has competed in various competitions throughout the South East & the UK and has demonstrated his skills and talents to the general public and to various blacksmiths.
Rhys has also been presented with various awards from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, most recently a bronze medal and the title of “Master Blacksmith” for a very high standard of work.
